Usually when wanting to purchase your 5.1 surround sound speakers you would want to know the in’s and out’s of it. We have been getting a lot of request for the review of a 5.1 surround sound speakers as a lot of speakers are in the market but they the consumers don’t know what to buy. For a 5.1 surround sound speakers we would recommend the one from Polk Audio RM705. This set of black 5.1 surround sound speakers is a good, crisp, and high quality speakers that are not that pricey and bulky. Perfect for medium to large rooms and for your entertainment area.
Setting up these speakers is quite easy as long as you observe how a 5.1 system should be placed. What we like about this 5.1 surround sound speakers is that the sound produced are beautiful, mirrored and well balanced that matches any television, dvd player, and playstations well. It’s appearance is not that bad too as its sleek design is styled with a sleek finish, so you can place them anywhere. The subwoofer is pretty powerful, as it can fill the large room with its bass low sound without cracking even when the volume is turned up. It is really good especially when watching some action movies as it really shook up the floor.
An amplifier is included in the set of these 5.1 surround sound speakers letting you directly connect to your AV. The sizes of the speakers are not that large as it is small, making it easy to find some space around your bedroom or living room. You can mount it on a wall or embed it inside; it would still create a good quality sound either way. Be aware though that there is no binding posts so you have to buy some non-banana plugs to save you the hassle of sticking the wire directly in to its spring loaded holes. You can add another speaker to this 5.1 surround sound speakers if you want to convert it into a 6.1 or 7.1 in the future.
It would have been better though if these 5.1 speakers wire holes are a bit larger though it is not difficult to attach any wires but for some who has shaky hands and less patience it is a great hassle. To get the most out of your subwoofer, we would recommend to turn it up with the phase knob to 0 degrees and the receivers to cross over at around 80hz. Of course it is still up to you to adjust your 5.1 speakers into the taste that you want. Overall we recommend this 5.1 surround sound speakers for its high quality sound with its affordable price that you would enjoy.
